Biography.

Colombian Percussionist who initiated his artistic career as a dancer in Danzas Folkloricas from his birth place in Medellin, Colombia.His passion for the music focused as a percussionist all began by learning from four of his maternal uncles. At the age of 14, Carlos had the opportunity to replace the percussionist from the group "Chirimia" (Musica Folklorica group). From here he realized this was his love and decided to take the carrer into effect.

He debuted as a professional percussionist playing and recording for many national groups in Colombia. Such groups like: El Tropicombo, Alquimia, Fruko, El Grupo Caneo, and many more. He decides to relocate to the U.S. in 1999 where he takes music classes to improve his percussion skills. He continues to play for local bands in New York City and New Jersey. He had the opportunity to meet the excellent musician Jose Tabares (Baby Bass Player). Jose had the chance to see Carlos in Action and experienced his capabilities as an excellent percussionist and referred him to different famous bands.
